We’re going to the NEC Baby Show
Thu, May 15, 2008
It’s Thursday night, and there is muchas excitement in the Boo household. I’ve flashed the plastic on something of a whim, and come 9am tomorrow morning, myself, Paul, and Boo (our gorgeous baby boy) will be chucking (well, ever-so delicately placing) the brand, spanking new Maclaren Four Seasons pushchair into the boot (complete with its rather jaunty ’spring’ lining, which is Boo’s favoured look du jour) and heading off to the Baby Show at the NEC Birmingham. Whoo and hoo!
For a self-confessed pram addict like myself, the chance to be in the same room as tens of lovely new prams is Very Exciting Indeed! <and breathe>
Fear not, dear readers, I take my position as Chief Pram Addict (CPA) extremely seriously and will - of course - bypass the tea and biscuit stall in order to make a beeline for all things shiny, new, and pram-related (I know, I know – I’m SUCH a trooper!), and will report back with reviews of what’s hot, what’s not, and what simply had to wrestle the plastic from my purse and come home with me immediately. I fully expect the latter list to be the biggest of all (but shhhh, don’t tell Paul!)
If you’re heading there, maybe see you tomorrow. If not, see you back here for my hot off the press reviews. And remember – don’t buy a pram without checking in with us first!
Sweet dreams, fellow pram addicts.

heh heh – you sounded just like me before a yarn and needlecrafts show!! I knit a LOT of stuff, for my little boy Jorey (AKA JJ, aged 9 and a half), and his big sisters Annaliese Lintilla )19 this month) and Keziah Courtenay (17 gone January), yes, I love unusual names, why so you ask? *huuuge grin* I also knit lots of stuff for friends’ children and for the local Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU). Tiny little cardis and hats are always welcome there. I read that you were a tad disappointed in the other miniblog before I read this one. That sometimes happens with me, too. I build my expectations up so high that they’re impossible for anything/anyone to live up to, and then feel a bit let down when I get there. I’m not saying that you did that, just that it was a shame that the show didn’t live up to expectations. Never mind, there’s always this/next year, eh?
Keep up the good work, Louise, this is a truly amazing and really enjoyable site! xxxx
